#Ban Galamsey! Stop galamsey now!

Clean water indeed is essential to all of us. That is why The Netherlands and Ghana, together, have been committed to investing in greater access to drinking water in Ghana. This has been done in various ways such as private sector drinking water systems and bigger infrastructural projects such as the Cape Coast water supply pipeline.
Did you know that most of Accra’s water actually comes from the Atewa forest? Many efforts have been made so far to make the Atewa Forest a national park and we fully support these initiatives.
The Netherlands would like to commend the Ghanaian government for taking a stand against the menace of ongoing illegal mining, known as ‘’galamsey’’, which is heavily polluting Ghanaian water sources. We should all unite our voices to turn the tide around #bangalamsey #stopgalamseynow #atewatilleternity #atewa4nationalpark
